There are many problems in the world. First of all, it’s necessary to understand what is wrong with today’s educational system, since future of whole nations depends on the professionalism and moral values of a growing generation.

It is important to be aware of bad policies in education. If we pay no attention to schools, colleges and universities, it makes no sense to start eliminating difficulties in other areas, as they will come back.

The mind, thoughts and feelings of young people are the levers for the formation of modern society.

The Main Problems Of Education And Their Classification

The problems of education can be classified according to their sources:

  1. The main part of the difficulties in the educational process is created by the students.

However, we should remember that solving problems is the main task of pedagogy as a science.

Social troubles and bad relationships with parents also should be included here.

  1. Many bad policies are associated with bureaucratization and ill-conceived educational system. The complexities of this class arise from the fact that officials carrying out reforms are far from schools and universities.

It is not possible to come up with a reasonable and adequate solution without seeing the problem on the spot.

  1. Problems caused by teachers. Pedagogical activity, although it does not require physical exertion in a traditional sense, exhausts energy very much.

With such conditions, a person works at the limit of possibilities. Constant tension is fraught with negative psychical effects, weakening of health. In addition, problems can be triggered by a lack of experience.

Let’s take a closer look at different bad policies and their sources.

Problems Caused By Students

The student goes a long and difficult way. The teacher is the person who provides knowledge and help. It is worth noting that the best approach is not to solve the problems but to help students cope with them.

What are the main problems caused by the students? First of all, it’s their individuality.

The methods used for one group of young people may not work out with another group, even if all children are of the same age.

Let’s consider a real example from practice. The teacher offers to sum oranges in the math class at Primary School. Everything goes well, pupils of are moderately active.

The same approach is used during another lesson, but one child states that he is allergic to oranges.

The teacher replaces oranges with apples. Then several kids state that they are allergic to apples.

The first pupil is indignant and requires his classmates to give up their allergic diseases. Mass children’s fight – a lesson is spoiled.

What does this example illustrate? The same methods may not work out for several groups if they have at least minimal differences.

Problems Caused By Educational System

It is a little easier to deal with the systematization of problems caused by the educational system. Material and economic support is extremely important. Lack of books, methodical aids, the absence of opportunity for practical and laboratory work is a big obstacle.

This problem grows into a very serious consequence – loss of interest for studies. This gives rise to new difficulties which the educator must fight in the course of his activity.

The second problem caused by the system is the lack of decent personnel and frustrated teachers. A lot of talented pedagogues master other specialties. Why? They avoid small salaries.

The third problem is an attempt to standardize the educational process. In the modern world, there is a tendency for industrial production from a conveyor.

However, from the example with apples and oranges it becomes clear that this is not always an effective tactic.

Bad policies manifest themselves in total bureaucracy. An abundance of paper red tape comes with new state standards of education.

The fourth problem is the weak reflexivity and slowness of the system. Sometimes it’s almost unreal to perform changes in the interests of the students.

Dozens of meetings happen, hundreds of people may work with one insignificant issue.

Example: the decision to introduce a uniform at schools. In some countries, this topic was discussed during several years.

Problems Caused By Teachers

Problems come not only from the educational environment. Sometimes they are created by a teacher. These difficulties can be divided into several groups.

  1. Problems caused by life conditions of teacher: work overload, poor psychological atmosphere at home, lack of material opportunities. As a result, the students receive the material of low quality. Sometimes teachers banally give up work at school.

  2. Objective problems emanating from the teacher but initially caused by external factors. For example, lack of motivation or experience that were not given during the training in the pedagogical university.

  3. Subjective problems caused by the teacher himself, for example, underdevelopment of personal qualities.

Example: A teacher has very strong knowledge of his subject, shines with erudition and, in principle, is s genius, but he is an absolute zero in communicating with people.

Educators concentrated on their subject are a very common phenomenon in modern schools. They absolutely do not care about the pupils. Such persons won’t provide argumentative essay help or stay in class to answer questions from students.

Sometimes they even feel the psychological satisfaction because of the fact that they have a higher level of knowledge than children.

Such problems are clearly subjective and can be eliminated only through psychological work.
